Allen started as a novelty prize in a piñata in a week-late Cinqo de Mayo party in Calgary, Canada, in mid-May, 2007. Not an auspicious beginning for an alien of such an adventurous nature.
Travelling with his much more cautious partner, Hume, he set off to see the world - well at least some of it - on the way from Calgary to Brisbane. He's been waylaid a few times.

The original plan was that Allen should conclude his adventure by parachuting to his end from Brisbane's Story Bridge. Others have suggested he should continue travelling. Should Allen jump?
